ESPN 980: Super Bowl Memories With Derrick Brooks

Hall of Fame LB Derrick Brooks talks with Kevin Sheehan and Thom Loverro of ESPN 980 about playing in Super Bowl XXXVII, and the Wild Card playoff game between the Buccaneers and Redskins three years earlier in 2000. The Redskins were leading 13-0 in the 3rd quarter until Tampa Bay safety John Lynch intercepted a pass from Brad Johnson on the Bucs' 27-yard line. That set up a 73-yard drive ending in Mike Alstott's touchdown. The 'Skins were still leading 13-7 until, as Tommy puts it, "Derrick Brooks went to work." The Buccaneers won the game 14-13 and the following year, Brad Johnson was QB for Tampa Bay.
