Mission Statement

Mission Statement

The Washington Football Charitable Foundation is ever-present in the community, constantly working to achieve our mission to make a positive and measurable impact in the lives of children that need it most. Since Washington Football owners Dan and Tanya Snyder created the Washington Football Charitable Foundation in 2000, we have given back more than $29M to the community and currently provide support and services to more than 178,000 individuals (mostly children) annually, focusing on supporting education, children's health and wellness and preparing them for their future.

Investing In Youth and Education

In an effort to make reading more fun for elementary students, the program centers around the Read Playbook, an in-school learning tool with monthly prompts for students to analyze a book(s) of their choice, monthly reading incentives, events, and much more.

FITT (Frequency, Intensity, Time & Type) – a youth health & wellness initiative – works to empower and assist middle school students in the development of their personal fitness goals and is comprised of three (3) key elements: the FITTbook, in-school workshops and instructional online videos.

Loads of Love

This program installs washers and dryers in schools that serve students who lack access to clean clothes. Studies have shown that offering laundry services in schools can help boost students attendance rates, class participation and their grades.
