Playing both linebacker and safety at USC, Su'a Cravens has been linked to the Redskins' 21st pick in one of WalterFootball.com's recent mock drafts.

With the 21st-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, could the Washington Redskins select one of the most versatile prospects available?

In his latest mock draft, Walter Cherepinsky of WalterFootball.com thinks the Redskins will take USC linebacker Su'A Cravens.

"The Redskins have big needs at safety and linebacker, so Su'a Cravens makes a ton of sense for them," Cherepinsky writes. "They could really use a Deone Bucannon-type player to improve their leaky defense."

Cravens enter his junior season on the watch list for several annual awards including the Butkus Award (given to the top linebacker), Lombardi Award (given to the nation's top linebacker or defensive lineman), Bednarik Award (given to the top defensive player), the Broko Nagurski Trophy (the Football Writers Association of America's top defensive player) and the Lott IMPACT Trophy (presented by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation to the most impactful defensive player).

In a season opening 55-6 victory over Arkansas State, Cravens tallied six tackles along with an interception. Two weeks later in a 41-31 loss to Stanford, the Los Angeles native recorded a career-high 13 tackles along with a sack.

He finished the season with career bests in tackles (86) and sacks (5.5) along with six passes defensed, two interceptions and two forced fumbles while earning his second first-team All-Pac 12 selection in as many seasons.

During his sophomore season in 2014, though, Cravens was named All-Pac 12 first-team as a defensive back.

The 6-foot-1, 225 pounder started all 13 of USC's game that season, recording 68 tackles (17 for loss) along with nine passes defensed and three interceptions.

Cravens was named Chuck Bednarik National Defensive Player of the Week after getting an interception for touchdown along with six tackles and a sack in USC's 35-10 victory over Oregon State on Sept. 27, 2014.

As a true freshman in 2013, Cravens started 13 games at safety for the Trojans, recording 52 tackles with four interceptions, a fumble forced and a fumble recovered.

"He isn't ultra-twitched-up but he's very athletic, instinctive and productive," NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah writes. "Against the run, he is very slippery to work around blockers and he has excellent snap anticipation. There are times where he gets swallowed up at the point of attack. When given the opportunity, he is very effective covering tight ends. He is physical to re-route and fast enough to carry them down the seam. Overall, Cravens has starter ability as a box safety or 3-4 WILL linebacker."
