Adrian Peterson will go down as one of the greatest running backs to ever play the game of football. This past season, at the ripe age of 33, Adrian Peterson signed with the Washington Redskins and became the oldest player to run for more than 1,000 yards since Redskins' running back John Riggins in 1984.

Peterson spent the first 10 years of his career with the team that drafted him seventh overall, the Minnesota Vikings. During that time, despite struggling with injuries, Peterson was able to assert himself as one of the most dominant running backs in the NFL. He was selected to seven Pro-Bowls, was named first-team All-Pro four times, and was named second-team All-Pro three times.

Peterson's best year came in 2012 when he was named NFL MVP. That season, AP ran for 2,097 yards and 12 touchdowns on an astounding six yards per carry. Over his career, Peterson has racked up 13,318 rushing yards and 106 rushing touchdowns on 4.7 yards per carry. Those numbers put him eighth all-time in career yardage and tied for fifth all-time with career rushing touchdowns.
