2019 Free Agent Profile: Tre Boston

Tre Boston has been a starting safety for three different teams in the past three years. After spending the first two years of his Carolina Panthers' tenure as a backup safety, he emerged to become the starter in 2016. That year, he had 52 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions and seven passes defensed.

Following that season, Boston signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he would be one of their starters. He started 15 games and played in all 16, getting 79 total tackles. He only had one tackle for loss that year, but he did have a career-high five interceptions, along with eight passes defensed.

This past season, Boston signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals. Boston played in 14 games and started 13 of them. In those 14 games, Boston had 79 total tackles, with one tackle for loss. He intercepted three passes, had nine passes defensed, forced one fumble and recovered one fumble in 2018.
