85th Anniversary Redskins Fan Stories: Eliana Pieprz

Before Eliana Pieprz moved from America to Israel, she watched Redskins games with her father on Sunday afternoons, like most fans. But once her family settled across the Atlantic Ocean, she had to adjust her schedule.

School is on Sundays where she lives and there's a seven hour time difference to account for. So, instead of homework after class, Sunday nights have now become devoted to football. Which means when the team plays a Monday night game, she tries to keep herself awake while preparing to go to school at halftime.

"I support two teams: Washington and whoever beats Dallas," Pieprz said.

One of her favorite recent memories was the famous "You Like That!" game, in which quarterback Kirk Cousins and the Redskins erased a 24-point deficit to come back and beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Pieprz was asleep during the ending of it, but found out the score the next morning and was ecstatic.

She was equally enthused when the team signed Josh Norman last offseason, a move that surprised the rest of the NFL.

As she describes in the video, she ran up the stairs and around her house, screaming about the team's latest addition and checking all the monetary figures. At training camp that year, Eliana was fortunate enough to get his autograph and a pair of his gloves, too.

"I told him, I was from Israel," she said. "And so we have that in my room. I keep my eye on any Giants fans that come in there."

Now that you've heard Eliana's story, it's your turn! Share a Redskins memory, story, photo or video on social media using #AllHail OR submit it here and become a part of Redskins history.
