The Washington Redskins on Saturday announced they have waived linebacker Gabe Miller and defensive lineman Robert Thomas.

Miller – a second-year linebacker out of Oregon State – was signed to the Redskins' practice squad in Week 17 of the 2013 season as a tight end, and then converted back to linebacker – his original position – during the 2014 offseason.

He had appeared in all four games for Washington (1-3) this season, and was credited by the league with one tackle.

Miller entered the league in 2011 with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was a fifth-round draft pick. He spent one week with the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad in 2012 and was signed by the Chicago Bears' practice squad Sept. 17, 2013.

Thomas signed with the Redskins May 14 as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas. He was signed to the team's active roster prior to its contest Thursday against the New York Giants, but was inactive for the game.
