The Washington Post, apparently more interested in stirring false controversy where there is none than in reporting fact, erroneously stated today in an A1 story that scores from yesterday's Nationals baseball game were not posted for FedEx Field fans until 3:05 p.m.
That is not true.
"As the person responsible for getting scores on the main LED boards at FedEx Field, my staff updated all NFL and American and National league baseball scores as soon as they crossed the news wire, starting at 1 p.m. Updates were posted at least every 10 minutes," said Scott Edwards, executive producer of game day entertainment. "No teams were excluded and the sensational implication that the Nationals scores were ignored is simply not true. I can't imagine why the Post couldn't see what was there for all to see."
"As a fan of all Washington teams myself, I wish they would get it right," Edwards said.
