Another Chance To Celebrate 20 Years Of Think Pink!

In 1999, the THINK PINK! Campaign, an outreach program for breast cancer awareness, was born. At the time, the Redskins were the only team in the NFL participating, as women handed out handmade pink ribbons to fans before a football game.

Soon enough, the campaign became one of many inspirations from around the league that was instrumental in the NFL's creation of its own "A Crucial Catch" campaign.

Twenty years later, the same THINK PINK! campaign is still going strong and has received support from every NFL team. Tanya Snyder, wife of Redskins owner Dan Snyder, is a breast cancer survivor after being diagnosed in 2008 and remains the campaign's leading advocate.

The Redskins celebrated this anniversary throughout the 2018 football season and produced a documentary about the campaign.

In case you missed it, "Think Pink: 20 Years" will re-air one more time on NBC-4 this Saturday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.
