Arrington, Daniels Progressing

Linebacker LaVar Arrington participated in some running drills on Monday in his first significant work since he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Sept. 24.

Arrington's status remains day to day. Team doctors and coaches want to see how his knee responds to the increased activity on Tuesday. If it holds up well, he could participate in practice later this week and possibly be cleared to play in Sunday's game at Chicago.

"The knee feels a whole lot better," Arrington said last week.

Meantime, defensive end Phillip Daniels, out for the last three weeks with a groin injury, could return to the lineup this week against the Bears, his former team.

Daniels participated in agility drills on Monday. Like Arrington, a decision on his status will be made later in the week.

Linebacker Mike Barrow, who has yet to appear in a game this season due to tendonitis in his left knee, is also making progress and has not been ruled out for Sunday, team officials said.
