Bobby Beathard's Ring Of Fame Induction To Highlight Sunday's Alumni Homecoming Game

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins will welcome more than 160 Redskins greats for the team's annual Alumni Homecoming game on Sunday, Nov. 13 against the Minnesota Vikings. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

As announced in August during training camp, the Redskins will induct former General Manager Bobby Beathard as the 48th member of its Ring of Fame this week. Beathard will be formally honored with induction at halftime.

Other alumni expected to attend homecoming weekend festivities include Pro Football Hall of Famers Darrell Green, Chris Hanburger, Ken Houston, Sonny Jurgensen, Bobby Mitchell, John Riggins, Charley Taylor,Redskins Ring of Fame members Larry Brown, Gary Clark, Pat Fischer, Ken Harvey, Joe Jacoby, Billy Kilmer, Dexter Manley, Brian Mitchell, Mark Moseley, Brig Owens, Richie Petitbon, Mark Rypien, Bubba Tyer, Doug Williamsand25members of the Redskins Super Bowl XXVI team.

The game day Homecoming celebration will also feature an alumni parade, which will begin at 10:15 a.m. with the Redskins Marching Band and Washington Redskins Cheerleaders, as well as the annual alumni group photo and pregame introduction of former players and coaches in attendance.

On Saturday, Nov. 12, more than 50 Redskins alumni will team up with the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and REAL School Gardens to give back to the community by participating in an outdoor educational space renovation at a local school. The build will begin at 10 a.m. at Leckie Education Campus in Washington, D.C. with the best viewing of the construction occurring from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. and interview opportunities occurring between 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  • Sunday, Nov. 13 (11 a.m. – noon) – Redskins vs. Vikings Homecoming Game

The alumni group photo will take place on the field at 10:50 a.m.Following the photo, media availability for alumni will be on the sidelines of the field from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.Former Redskins players, coaches and cheerleaders will be available for interviews. A representative from Redskins Public Relations will escort media from the press box to field level at 10:55 a.m.
