Chris Neild is thinking ahead a little bit this weekend.

While the defensive lineman has been putting in a lot of work this offseason to get ready for the 2015 season, he's taking a break over the next few days to attend the fifth-annual NFL-NCAA Coaches Academy in Louisville.

The partnership between NFL Player's Engagement and the NCAA "provides both current and former NFL players with a unique opportunity to learn from top coaches and personnel at every level of the game," said former Redskin James Thrash in a press release. "Our goal is to develop a professional pipeline of coaches who understand the NFL standard and transfer that knowledge of coaching skills, leadership, and character to players at all levels."

The press release also says that attendees will get instruction from both top-ranking football coaches and business leaders on topics that include the following:

How to build a personal and professional brand; managing budgets; successful networking; health and safety; media messaging; coaching contracts; building relationships in college; effective leadership; understanding the academic landscape; and the interview process.

Former Redskins general manager Charley Casserly will also be a keynote speaker.
