Clinton Portis And Ed Reed Show Love For The 'U'

Clinton Portis and Ed Reed were two of the best athletes to ever play football at the University of Miami. Both men were inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame, with Portis going in 2014, and Reed in 2012.

Portis and Reed found themselves on the opposite end of the competition spectrum on Friday night, as the Washington Redskins hosted the Buffalo Bills at FedExField. Portis was the sideline reporter for the Redskins Broadcast Network, while Reed served as Buffalo's assistant defensive backs coach.

Being rivals for the evening didn't stop Portis and Reed from coming together to represent the "U," as they showed in Portis' Instagram post.

In his time with the Hurricanes, Portis rushed for 2,523 yards on 440 carries. Portis' 21 rushing touchdowns is eighth-most in Miami history, and his nine 100-yard rushing games in 2001 is second-most for a season.

Reed holds Miami records for career interceptions [21], most career interceptions returned for touchdowns [4], most career interception return yards [389], and most season interceptions return yards [206 in 2001].
