Coldplay Announces Stop At FedExField As Part Of 2017 'A Head Full Of Dreams' Tour

COLDPLAY ANNOUNCES STOP AT FEDEXFIELD AS PART OF 2017 "A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS" TOUR

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – Coldplay confirmed today that they will embark on their "A Head Full of Dreams Tour," produced and promoted exclusively by Live Nation with a stop at FedExField on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017.

Tickets for the general public go on sale on Saturday, Oct. 15. Fans can buy tickets at http://www.livenation.com.

Redskins' season ticket members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets prior to the general public sale as part of their right of first refusal.

"We are excited to host one of the most popular and decorated bands of our time at FedExField," President Bruce Allen said.

This concert adds to an all-star lineup of events at FedExField as part of the Redskins' commitment to provide diverse entertainment options, including premier college football games, soccer matches, world-class performers and more to the community and season ticket members.

Since March of this year, the "A Head Full Of Dreams Tour,"produced by Live Nation Entertainment, has played to 2.5 million people across Latin America, the U.S. and Europe. The show was created by the band alongside celebrated production designers Misty Buckley and Paul Normandale. The tour reaches Australia and New Zealand in December.

A Head Full Of Dreams has sold more than five million copies since its December 2015 release. The videos for the album's hit singles – "Adventure Of A Lifetime," "Hymn For The Weekend" and "Up&Up"– have more than a billion YouTube video views combined. The band has won seven GRAMMY® awards to date.
