The Washington Commanders' Week 15 game against the New York Giants has been flexed to 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC's Sunday Night Football at FedExField, the NFL announced today.

Washington (7-5-1) tied its first game against the Giants in Week 13, but the team is still in control of its playoff hopes thanks to going on a two-month surge in which it has won six of seven games, including the previously undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. Prior to the tie, Washington had claimed the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoffs after a dramatic win over the Falcons, 19-13.

With only a handful of games left in the regular season, the Week 15 rematch against the Giants will have major playoff implications for both teams. The winner will claim third place in the talented NFC East division and earn an increased chance at making the postseason. Washington has four games left, three of which are against conference foes.

After the game, Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen had a simple message for the fanbase: the team needs them to show up in droves at FedExField.

"I mean, look, I'm going to need the fans of the Commanders to really show out the next game," Allen said. "I'm going to provide as many free tickets as I can, we need everybody there. This game could be the season. So, we need full support; we need that stadium rocking."

The Week 15 matchup will be the third nationally televised game Washington has played this season. It won the previous two against the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football, 12-7, and against the Eagles, 32-21.
