Through the generosity of Crown Royal and in line with a decade-old initiative called the 'Purple Bag Project,' the Washington Redskins were glad to welcome representatives from Crown Royal and Packages from Home to FedExField on Sunday during their home game against the New England Patriots to pack 400 care packages for service members deployed overseas. Fans were able to join in on the fun, packing toiletry items and writing postcards to be shipped to men and women serving in our United States Armed Forces. Items included toothpaste, toothbrushes, sunscreen, hand lotion, mouthwash, and other items that have been identified by military officials as essential items that deployed service members find incredibly useful while they have limited access to storefronts in high risk areas.

We'd like to thank Crown Royal for being an outstanding partner and involving the Washington Redskins in another outstanding program benefiting our troops serving overseas. We encourage all to look into the Purple Bag Project and learn more about how you can get involved serving our men and women overseas.
