Normally game picks on ESPN's College Gameday are limited to games being played at the collegiate level. But with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on hand as the guest picker, there was an NFL game that needed the Gameday crew's attention.
Earnhardt's appearance on Gameday coincides with tonight's matchup of Tennessee and Virginia Tech – a game being played at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee. Of course, Earnhardt loves racing, but he has another love when it comes to football – the Washington Redskins. So with Earnhardt on hand, Gameday also picked the winner of Monday night's season opener for the Redskins and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Despite the rest of the panel picking the Steelers, Earnhardt stayed true to his team, picking the Redskins to win on Monday Night Football.
