Defensive end Phillip Daniels could be out 2-4 weeks due to a groin injury suffered in Sunday's game against the New York Giants, team officials said on Monday.
Daniels underwent a MRI on Monday and he is expected to see a specialist about the injury later this week.
Daniels suffered the injury early in Sunday's 20-14 loss to the New York Giants. He came back onto the field for a few more plays, but later left for good.
On Monday morning, Daniels said that he would not try to rush back on the playing field quickly and risk aggravating the injury.
"They need me for the long haul," Daniels said.
Ron Warner replaced Daniels in the lineup on Sunday.
Daniels added that his abdominal injury suffered during the preseason has healed.
Meantime, kicker John Hall, who went into Sunday with a strained left hamstring, aggravated his other hamstring during the game. Team officials were optimistic he'd be able to play next Monday night.
