Driving Around D.C. On Sunday? Look Out For Preston Smith's Billboard

While Washington, D.C. isn't particularly fertile ground for Mississippi State recruiting, it is, as many can contest, full of traffic.

If you happen to be stuck in any this Sunday, and are driving southbound on I-95/I-495 and eastbound on Ritchie Marlboro Road, you will have the opportunity to see former Bulldog and current Redskins linebacker Preston Smith on a digital billboard as part of Mississippi State's #FromStateToSundays campaign.

He's the latest recently drafted player to be featured in his NFL team's home city, following New York Giant Deontae Skinner's likeness surrounding MetLife Stadium last weekend.

Mississippi State boasts 12 current players in the NFL, while another two are on Injured Reserve and five are on practice squads.

Smith, a second round draft pick in 2015, lead all rookies with eight sacks last year. He's slowed down a bit in his sophomore season, totaling 1.5 sacks on 21 tackles while remaining a strong player against the run.

He was named first-team All-SEC by the league's coaches in his senior season with the Bulldogs while also being named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week for three straight weeks.
