ESPN Deportes Radio to Launch in Washington, D.C. On Sept. 1

ESPN Deportes Radio, the only around-the-clock national Spanish-language sports radio network in the United States, will launch in Washington, D.C. as ESPN Deportes WXTR 730 AM on Sept. 1.

With this launch, ESPN Deportes Radio has now secured agreements with 29 affiliates nationwide. ESPN Deportes Radio will broadcast all 16 Washington Redskins football games live, anchored by a special 30 minute pre and post game show.

"We are very excited to reach sports fans in Washington," said Oscar Ramos, senior director and general manager, ESPN Deportes Radio. "This is yet another step toward our goal of reaching emerging Hispanic audiences and offering them original, high-quality sports content unlike any other."

"Red Zebra Broadcasting is committed to effectively covering sports for all sports fans," said company CEO Bruce Gilbert. "Bringing all sports in all Spanish to DC with ESPN Deportes was a big goal, but it was even more important for us to offer Washington Redskins football in Spanish."

ESPN Deportes Radio offers a variety of sports talk programming and events, highlighted by coverage of Major League Baseball, Mexican League Soccer, Copa America, UEFA Champions League, Euro Cup, South American World Cup Qualifiers, NASCAR and much more.

As with other properties, ESPN Deportes Radio has a series of expert commentators and top-rated shows including "Jorge Ramos y su Banda," which provides soccer analysis from the most respected sports journalists in the United States.

The radio network is also available nationally on SIRUS Satellite Radio.
