Below are five things you should know about new defensive lineman Terrell McClain.  1. McClain's Background

Born July 20, 1988 (age 28), McClain is a 6-foot-2, 302-pound defensive lineman from Florida. He attended Pensacola High School and played football for South Florida where he was drafted in 2011 by the Carolina Panthers.

  1. His Resume**

McClain played defensive tackle his rookie year and recorded 19 tackles and one sack. 

After a left knee injury in December he was placed on Injured Reserve and was released Sept. 2, 2012. He signed with the New England Patriots later that month and was then waived October 2nd. Later that month, McClain signed with the Houston Texans as a free agent on Oct. 29, 2012. During his second season with the Texans, McClain played in 16 games where he recorded 10 tackles. On March 12, 2014, McClain signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent.

In his last season with the Cowboys in 2016, McClain played in 15 games and registered an impressive 40 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two fumbles.

3. His Nickname

McClain acquired the nickname "Dancing Bear" while in college by former USF assistant coach, Dan McCarney after his first time seeing McClain on the practice field.

"He's just built like a bear, but he's so light on his feet," McCarney told the *Tampa Bay Times*. "Some nicknames stick really well, and that one did. From the start, I just thought he was a tremendous player and a great kid."

McClain has made sure to live up to his nickname as he was known to break out in dance every Friday during practices with the Cowboys.

4. His Family

During his high school and college years, McClain's mother, Lynn, was stationed in the Navy. McClain's brother, Jerome McClain also had his tenure as an NFL player. He played college football for South Alabama and briefly signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent during the 2015 offseason.

5. His Favorites

McClain has a love for shoes; particularly the red-bottomed Christian Louboutin's valued at $2,000 a pair. His favorite food is pizza, his favorite ice cream is cookie and cream and his favorite pie is apple. McClain's favorite TV show is the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
