NFL.com's Greg Rosenthal recently looked at one "fun" offseason addition for 32 teams, and Donatri Poe is the man listed for the Redskins.

While all eyes will be on future NFL superstars this week at the 2017 Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, next week begins the league's annual free agency madness.

The Washington Redskins – fairly quiet in free agency during general manager Scot McCloughan's first two seasons in the position – may be looking to bring in some strong veteran talents to eventually play alongside their 10 2017 draft picks.

Could one of those veterans be nose tackle Dontari Poe, the No. 11-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft?

NFL.com's Greg Rosenthal sees great potential in the possible signing, listing Poe as a "fun" fit for the Redskins.

"The Redskins have almost been too quiet in free agency lately," Rosenthal writes. "This is a sneakily pressure-packed offseason, with GM Scot McCloughan needing to make a lot of roster upgrades on defense while the team likely says goodbye to its starting wideouts. Poe will be expensive, but he's no Albert Haynesworth. That's a good thing."

So what would Poe bring to the Redskins if he were signed?

For starters, the 6-foot-3, 346 pounder is durable, having appeared in all but two games over his first five NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Poe would also fill the true nose tackle role the Redskins didn't necessarily have last season when they rotated Kedric Golston, Ziggy Hood and Matt Ioannidis inside among others. Additionally, at 346 pounds he'd be the heaviest defensive player on the roster.

Now to his accolades and stat-line.

Poe is a two-time Pro Bowler, having earned the honor following the 2013 and 2014 seasons. He was also a second-team All-Pro in 2013, a season in which he collected 51 tackles along with 4.5 sacks and four passes defensed.

The Memphis product posted a career-high six sacks in 2014.

For his entire career, Poe has registered 200 tackles along with 13 sacks, 12 passes defensed and two fumbles forced.
