The Redskins added three Reserve/Future players that were not with the team during the 2017 season in Chris Bazile, Cassanova McKinzy and James Sample.

The Washington Redskins announced on Monday the signing of 11 players to Reserve/Futures contracts, with three of those signed new to the team.

While the Redskins signed eight players from the practice squad, the team also added tight end Chris Bazile, linebacker Cassanova McKinzy and defensive back James Sample.

Bazile joins Washington after spending his college career at Grambling State.

In three seasons with the Tigers, Bazile recorded 23 receptions for 351 yards and three touchdowns. During his senior season in 2015, he recorded 14 receptions for 196 yards and all three of his career scores.

He was a rookie minicamp participant for the New Orleans Saints in 2015.

McKinzy, meanwhile, started 37 games at Auburn and recorded 263 tackles with 8.5 sacks, three fumbles forced and two interceptions.

The Birmingham, Ala., native was named a second-team All-SEC selection in 2015 as he recorded 74 tackles with five sacks.

He recorded a team-high nine tackles in Auburn's 2014 BCS National Championship Game appearance against Florida State before entering the NFL as a college free agent signing of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's also spent time with the Los Angeles Rams.

As for Sample, he joins the Redskins after spending two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Louisville.

The 25-year-old appeared in four games with two starts during his rookie season, recording 15 tackles along with one pass defensed.

Sample split time between the Washington, American River Junior College and Louisville during his college career. In his lone season with the Cardinals, Sample recorded 90 tackles with four interceptions.
