For the second time this season, NFL voters have chosen Robert Griffin III as the NFL's top rookie performer of the week, this time for Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This follows up a Week 1 performance on the road in New Orleans, where Griffin III had the top statistical passing debut in NFL history.

He backed it up last week with a 26-for-35 showing, throwing for 323 yards through the air and 43 yards on the ground with a score.  He helped engineer a drive in the final minute to set the Redskins up for the game winning field goal, beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-22.

Griffin III was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com/rookies.  The other finalists were Patriots' running back Brandon Bolden, Bengals' linebacker Vontaze Burfict, Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and Rams' kicker Greg Zuerlein.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for NFL Rookie of the Year honors.  Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January.

The NFL Rookie of the Year will be announced at the second annual "NFL Honors" awards show in New Orleans on Saturday, February 2, the night before Super Bowl XLVII.
