After two solid weeks of football, Rex Grossman and the Redskins are facing their first adversity of the 2011 season.

Players are disappointed that they lost to the Dallas Cowboys 18-16 on Monday Night Football, but they are ready to put the game behind them and focus on this Sunday's opponent, the St. Louis Rams.

"You never forget [the Dallas game] and you try to use that as fuel to take it out on the Rams," Grossman said.

Sitting at 2-1 and tied for first in the NFC East, the Redskins travel to face the 0-3 Rams at the Edward Jones Dome.

"I think the team will respond very well," Grossman said. "We have a lot of character in the locker room and everybody is focused and ready to go to help us get over that Dallas loss. We'll have a very intense week of practice, very concentrated, and [we're] very determined to get that bad taste out of our mouth."

Through three regular season games, Grossman has thrown for 846 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. He has completed 59.6 percent of his passes and has a quarterback rating of an 86.4.

He understands that moving forward, cutting down on turnovers needs to be a focus.

"You have to go into every game with the mindset to take care of the ball without it hurting your performance of making plays. It's a delicate balance there."
