The NFL issued a press release Thursday including team schedules through minicamp.

The Washington Redskins players are due to report for their first day of voluntary workouts on April 20. Players will be able to work in conjunction with their respective position coaches and prepare themselves in the nine-week span before mandatory minicamp, which will be held June 16-18.

Offseason team activities (OTAs) will be held in three parts. Workouts are scheduled on May 26-28, June 2-4 and June 8-11.

Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, each team's program consists of three phases and regulations within each part.

Phase one consists of the first two weeks of the program, starting April 20. This period is limited to strength, conditioning and rehabilitation for players.

Phase two is the following three weeks of the program, when players will be allowed to take the field and receive individual instruction from their coaches. No live contact or "team offense vs. team defense" will be permissible. However, team practices will be conducted on a "separates basis" – both the offense and defense work separately, but may work together as a squad.

Phase three, a four-week period, allows ten days of OTAs, but with no live contact. The mandatory minicamp for veteran players is usually held during this phase; the Redskins are not one of the seven teams to hold a voluntary minicamp.

Head coach Jay Gruden has been ready to get his team together again.

"We'll see how they are in shape and see where we are as a football team," Gruden said about phase one. "We feel good about the players we have coming back, the guys we added to our roster who we added to our roster, and we're always going to have a handle on who's out there in free agency."
