Dear Redskins Family,

Thank you so much for the most amazing four years of my life! I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for my directors, teammates and this organization as a whole.

Four years ago, I was a nervous 23-year-old auditioning for a professional cheerleading team for the first time. I loved to dance and perform, but always dreamed of performing in the big leagues! I trained with the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders Training Program for two years before I could get enough confidence to come that first day of auditions. I was in complete shock when I made the team my first try! What a moment that was for me. I still remember making the team on April 6th with my best friend Shay and I will always remember that moment forever. My family was there to support me and have always pushed me to follow my dreams. I am so thankful for all the support they have given me on this journey the past four years.

I am truly honored to have met such incredibly women along this journey. The women I danced with have made me a better person. I cherish each and every one of you; and I know we will be sisters forever. That greatest thing about being a Washington Redskins Cheerleader to me is the sisterhood. No matter what we will always have each other's back. I think of my assistant director Jamilla as a true legacy. I am so honored to have you as my leader and mentor. When I think of WRC, I think of you. You have always valued sisterhood and traditions, which is what makes WRC so unique. Thank you for everything you have done for me, I could not be more grateful.

There is one thing for sure about my four years with this organization. I was meant to be under the direction of Stephanie. She has taught me so many things about dance, but more importantly about life. Stephanie is the type of director that wants you to be the best YOU. Thank you so much for all of the amazing opportunities while on this team. Thank you for believing in me and pushing me to my fullest potential. Thank you for allowing me to be Captain this past year; I have learned so much more about myself. Thank you for everything you do and sacrifice for this team. I cannot thank you enough for motivating and pushing me to be the best woman I can be.

I have had so many amazing experiences the past four years. I have never really traveled before and I was able to visit Rivera Maya Mexico, Cozumel Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Bahamas. I was also fortunate enough to go on a Military Appreciation tour to Curacao and Puerto Rico. I was so honored to meet the families of military men and women. You all inspire me and I am grateful that I could spend some time with you all.

To the most amazing fans in the NFL, thank you. I love the support our loyal fans give to the Redskins family. All the fans I have been able to interact with have made me feel so loved and valued. When I stepped on the field for the first time I couldn't be more proud to cheer for all of you. YOU are what made game days what they were, FUN! My favorite moments were running out of the tunnel of FedEx Field, signing the National Anthem and performing "Hail to the Redskins" with all of you. I will never forget that feeling when I stood and waved to all of you as I walked off the field on my last game. I will never forget that feeling. You all have fulfilled my heart; thank you.

I hope to still be involved with this organization in any way I can. I hope to motivate and encourage future Redskins Cheerleaders. For my future WRC sisters, take in every moment this journey has to offer because it goes by faster than you think. When things get tough, know why you auditioned in the first place. Your love for this team will only grow deeper through the years. I can't wait to see what the future of WRC holds for you.

As I say farewell, I can proudly say I am an Alumni of the best cheerleading team in the NFL.

Once a Redskins Cheerleader, Always a Redskins Cheerleader!

Love,

Jade J
