Jansen Post-Game: Redskins-Vikings

On talking about missed opportunities:

"We were in the red zone a couple of times and we left some points on the field. We've got to learn to capitalize on those and really take advantage of opportunities like that."

On if he wanted to get closer for the final field goal try:

"It's the coach's decision. We felt that we had a good shot of tying the game up and it just did not work out for us."

On the frustration of having to regroup with a short week ahead:

"I'm glad it's a short week because you won't have to sit on it that long. We have tomorrow off and we'll be back at it on Wednesday. We need to work hard and we're excited to go down to Dallas."

On what makes the loss so hard to take:

"It's the first game and it was on Monday night game and it was one in which we really wanted to come out and show what we're all about this year. We just came up short."

On the missed opportunities continued:
"We didn't capitalize on those opportunities and in a big game like this against a team like that, you have to take advantage of all the opportunities you have."
