With the 41st-overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected a talented defensive lineman out of Clemson by the name of Jarvis Jenkins.

Jenkins, like all new NFL players, was thrilled by the fact he had reached his dream of making it to the NFL.

While his dominance during the 2011 preseason was stunted by a torn ACL, Jenkins would return healthy the next season and be a solid contributor for the Redskins over the years, recording 75 tackles with two sacks.

On Tuesday, Jenkins, who was an unrestricted free agent, officially signed with the Chicago Bears.

Before making his departure, though, Jenkins wanted to thank the Redskins for everything they have done for him.

"I wanna thank the whole Washington Redskins organization for blessing me and my family by putting my foot in the door to pursue my childhood dream to play in the NFL. These past 4 years have been the best years of my life I learned a lot and I don't regret a sec of it. Today I start my new journey with the Chicago Bears and I'm excited to be a part of another great tradition," he wrote with the photo.
