Has there ever been an offensive lineman for Oklahoma that was as good as Trent Williams?

If you ask lifelong Sooners fan and wrestling announcing legend Jim Ross, the answer is pretty obvious.

"Now we've had some great defensive linemen at Oklahoma, you think of Lee Roy Selmon, the great Lee Roy Selmon who was the No. 1 pick in the draft, first pick of the Bucs ever, but I don't know if anyone's better than Trent on the offensive line," Ross told ESPN980 recently. "I certainly can't think of anybody that has been any more dominating in college and then transition almost seamlessly right into pros. He started from Day 1."

Before being selected by the Redskins with the fourth-overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Williams started 39 games at Oklahoma.

He was named a first-team All-American as a senior, a third-team All-American as a junior and was second-team Freshman All-American in 2006.

"I've been following the team since I was a kid, so they've been my team from the radio days simply before cable, and so it would be very challenging to say that we've ever had an offensive lineman better than Trent Williams," Ross said.
