Kendall Fuller Has Quite The NFL Family

The Redskins made Jonathan Allen make history.

When they selected him in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, they ensured that Kendall would be part of just the second set of four brothers to reach the NFL in the Super Bowl era.

There's – in order of oldest to youngest – Vincent II, Corey, Kyle and Kendall, all of whom can say they've been part of an NFL team now.

Vincent II last played in 2011 after seven seasons as a safety with the Titans and the Lions. Corey is a fourth year wide receiver for the Lions. Kyle is a third-year cornerback for the Bears. And then there is Kendall, taken with the 84th pick by the Redskins, who will join the team's secondary.

"I want each of my brothers] to be better than the next,” [Vincent II said in a feature for Sports Illustrated. "If one of them doesn't achieve higher, then I would feel like I didn't do something right in passing along my knowledge."

They all attended Virginia Tech and all played under head coach Frank Beamer, who just finished his last year leading the Hokies. He's never had a bad word to say about any of them.

Kendall's siblings teased him about being spoiled, but he's inherited all the best of his brothers' traits. He won ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year to All-ACC as a sophomore, but then tore his right meniscus, which limited him last season to just three games. Dr, James Andrews fixed the meniscus and now he's ready to compete.

He'll have the support from his brothers. And he'll always stay competeitive with them.

"We talk about football, and we talk about life. We talk trash all the time," he said at the NFL Combine this year.  "We have a little thing where all of us will find a hobby that we like, and just if one person finds one, even if you don't like it, you've gotta try to get it just so you can beat them. But, you know, anytime we get around each other, which isn't a lot, just cause of, with them having their schedules and me having my schedule, but any time we get around each other it's definitely fun."
