What are the chances two college teammates can have their locker together and then be reunited again in a city hundreds of miles away at the NFL level?
Well, we're know exactly sure of the mathematical odds, but the possibility became reality on Saturday, as Martrell Spaight – drafted in the fourth round – and Tevin Mitchel – drafted in the sixth round – were both taken by the Redskins in the 2015 NFL Draft.
On his conference call, Mitchel told reporters that their lockers at Arkansas' football facility were right beside each other.
"His locker was actually right beside mine," he said in an answer about Spaight. "We talked every day, you know, 'Let's get better, let's do this, let's do that.' He was just a great to have by my side. I'm real happy and excited to play with him."
Oh, and by the way, the two talked about the chances of playing together again just yesterday.
"It was weird, we were talking yesterday and we [were] like, 'What if we ended up on the same team?'" Mitchel said. "It's crazy that it just happened. So I just finished talking to him earlier and that's a great teammate. I'm real happy to play with Martrell Spaight again. Real happy."
