Mike Shanahan Post-Game Press Conference

On the Redskins' 23-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens:

"As I told our players, next week getting ready for the Jets we have a chance to go through the normal routine that we will do during the season, so it will be a little bit different for them. We will get a chance to look at this film Monday after our practice is over with and we put a normal game plan in, so that will be nice to get going in that direction. Relative to the game, it is an evaluation process. We had a chance to evaluate our first-teamers and second-teamers in some of the first half. I thought we did some good things, obviously some things very poorly. But, at the end of the day, we need to take a look at the turnovers in the red zone, and things like the offense not scoring many points, which we didn't tonight. But, we had some good effort and we have a lot of work to do. We will get started early next week."

On the offensive line's performance:

"Well when you get three points that is not very good. Last week we were 4-of-4 in the red zone and I think tonight we were at least 0-of-3. We moved the ball and had some opportunities to convert, but they did a good job with the pressure package. With a pressure package like that, you have to have a little bit different game plan, but I thought they did a good job. They put pressure on the quarterback and took advantage of some blitzes that we didn't pick up on and we didn't envision. Overall, I think we played hard and we have some work to do."

On injuries that occurred:

"Yes, I am concerned. I don't know right now and we will wait and see and I will let you know after practice on Monday exactly where we are at. For me to tell you where we are at right now would be a mistake."

On wide receiver Anthony Armstrong:

"We threw the ball a little bit more intentionally to evaluate some of our wide receivers and get a chance to see what they can do. I thought Anthony stepped up and made some good plays."

On running back Larry Johnson:

"They did a good job up front. Their defensive front is very good and the reasons why they will be one of the top two or three rush defenses' in the league. We couldn't get things going and our game plan wasn't quite what it was, a week ago. We do want to be a lot more effective then we were tonight."

On his overall thoughts of the game:

"Yeah, we did some good things. We had a drop ball here or there, we had a couple missed assignments and we were just not very consistent. But, that goes with camp. We are going to have some highs and some lows. I saw some good things. A couple of good plays in there and a couple of plays you would like to have back. But, that is preseason and we have some work to do and we have a couple of weeks to do it. Hopefully, we will have a good week next week."

On defensive linemen Albert Haynesworth:

"He did work out Friday and got some running in on the treadmill. He wasn't going to be able to play with first or second team for obvious reasons. He is going to have to earn his way into that group and once we get him into football shape, then we will get him some playing time. We will see how he did and evaluate that."

On the defensive line:

"I thought we did some good things. You always want to get good with your rush defense. They did a good job there on that fake punt and you need to get down there in good field position. But, you got to get a little bit better. They made some mistakes, but they are all correctable. But we had some great effort."
