Every night, Jamison Crowder speaks to his family. He'll facetime his mom, dad and younger brother Jamaris, who has Down Syndrome. Though Jamaris is nonverbal, Crowder enjoys the moments spent with him every evening, as the two have formed a special bond. Wanting to honor his brother and bring more awareness to Down Syndrome, he's partnering with the National Down Syndrome Society.

Specifically, the Redskins wide receiver is looking to bring attention to the funding problems facing those with Down Syndrome, something his family has experienced. With two working parents and no Medicaid, some of the treatments and resources Jamaris needs have become hard to obtain.

"The thing we find most challenging is a lack of funding," Crowder's mother Brenda said. "Not only for research and prevention, just for families in general."

Crowder himself will be auctioning off the game-worn cleats with all the proceeds going toward the foundation.

"I know for sure it means a lot to him, my family and to anybody else out there that has a child or someone that has Down Syndrome," Crowder said. "That can relate to some of the things they go through. I think it's going to be a cool thing to do."
