The Redskins defensive lineman is joining his teammate Ryan Anderson in supporting the foundation against animal cruelty as he hopes to bring more awareness to the cause.

When the mother of one of his college teammates approached him about working with Show Your Soft Side, Ioannidis, an animal lover himself, jumped at the opportunity.

"I'm big into animals, I've got dogs myself. I had done some work with her in the past for some ad campaigns about protecting animals and animal rights and she reached out about wearing it on my cleats," Ioannidis said. "I didn't have an organization lined up and I thought this was a perfect opportunity to spread awareness."
