Chris Samuels is out for next Monday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Samuels, the Redskins' Pro Bowl left tackle, continues to visit with doctors on his neck injury. He suffered a stinger to his neck in the Oct. 11 game at Carolina.

"We're waiting to hear the results from a doctor in California," Jim Zorn said on Monday.

Samuels has spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal canal. He has been aware of the condition since high school and that's the reason he wears the big roll collar around his neck and the huge shoulder pads during games.

He aggravated the injury in the Panthers game.

Samuels and Redskins officials continue to take the cautious approach with his injury--and rightfully so. Any injury to the head, neck or spine should be evaluated carefully.

Asked last week if he thought the injury could end his season, Samuels replied: "I don't think so."

The Redskins reshuffled their offensive line in the wake of Samuels' injury.

Stephon Heyer moved to left tackle, Mike Williams moved to right tackle and Will Montgomery stepped in at right guard.

In a downbeat locker room at Redskins Park, London Fletcher was among a handful of players who spoke to media on Monday.

The mood of the team is "very upset, embarrassed and frustrated," Fletcher said.

"Just really at a loss for words in a sense because it's not just one thing that you can say, 'Hey, if we fix this, we'll be all right.' It has been so many issues, so many things that have hurt us in these ballgames.

"It's going to take all of us to get out of this situation."
