News & Notes: Vincent Listed As Probable

Strong safety Troy Vincent is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, as he continues to improve from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him for two games.

Vincent participated in practice on Wednesday and he said he was eager to "get out there and let the pads clack a little bit."

Meantime, the primary injury concerns for the week are cornerback Kenny Wright (knee) and linebacker Khary Campbell (hamstring). Both are listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

Wright has been battling his knee injury in recent weeks and he sat out practice on Wednesday.

With Shawn Springs sidelined last Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, Wright drew the start and played the entire game. If Wright cannot play against the Eagles, then reserves Mike Rumph and Ade Jimoh could move into nickel packages in the secondary.

Springs was not on the team's injury report on Wednesday, so he is expected to return to action. Last week, he was slowed by a hamstring injury that worsened as the week progressed.

"I feel a lot better," Springs said. "It was unexpected and just came out of the blue. It's no secret that I've been struggling all year [with injuries]. I didn't want to be in a situation where I couldn't help the team."

Campbell also sat out practice on Wednesday. The backup linebacker and special teams standout missed last Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Defensive end Phillip Daniels (ankle), right tackle Jon Jansen (calf), center Casey Rabach (leg) and tight end Todd Yoder (thigh) are also listed as probable on the team's injury report.

Jansen, who sat out practice on Wednesday, has been playing through a calf injury that has hampered him the last few weeks.

"That thing has really bothered Jon," head coach Joe Gibbs said. "He has played great every week with it. It's something that has been aggravating him the whole time. We are hoping to give more time off of it this week. Then we'll see what happens game time."

#### -- VINCENT'S LEADERSHIP

In less than two months with the Redskins, Troy Vincent has emerged as a team leader. He has been vocal with coaches and players the last two weeks as he heals from his hamstring injury.

Vincent is eager to lead by example, rather than on the sidelines.

"I want to be out there," he said. "Obviously sitting on the sidelines is not fun and it's a position I'm not used to being in. I just want to get back on the field and try to contribute."
