The NFL's flexible scheduling resumes in 2007 for Sundays in Week 11-17.
The 2007 schedule lists Sunday prime time games for Weeks 11-17, but those games are subject to change under the flexible scheduling format. Games listed for Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET, 4:05 p.m. ET or 4:15 p.m. ET are eligible to be moved to prime time.
Flexible scheduling will not be applied to games airing on Thursday, Saturday or Monday nights.
Flexible scheduling helps ensure quality matchups on Sunday night in those weeks and gives surprise teams a chance to play their way onto prime time.
The NFL has used a 12-day notice format to announce a game that has been "flexed" to Sunday night on NBC.
For example, a game scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 25 could move from a 1 p.m. ET kickoff to an 8:15 p.m. ET start, but the change would be made and announced no later than Tuesday, Nov. 13.
CBS and FOX will each be able to protect games in Weeks 11-17 of flexible scheduling, but not more than one game in any week.
