Redskins longsnapper Nick Sundberg is a huge Washington, D.C., sports fan. This is not news, but a mere reminder that he is a fan of all Washington, D.C., sports, not just the Wizards, Caps and Nats.
This was made evident on Sunday, when Sundberg had the chance to attend D.C. United's semifinal match against the New York Red Bulls at RFK Stadium.
The team fell 1-0 and head to New Jersey for the second and final match in the series, but that didn't completely dampen the mood from Sunday.
It helps when you get to hang out with U.S. National Women's Team soccer star and D.C. native Ali Krieger as well as Wizards center Marcin Gortat.
"Intern John" from the Kane morning show also made the photo, and even he admitted he didn't fit in.
They all received jerseys on the field, though Sundberg was already prepared wearing one.
