Pierre Garçon Buys His Mom A New Car And House

By: Paola Argueta

Whether it be through the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation or his own endeavors, wide Receiver Pierre Garçon has an extensive track record of contributing to the community in any way he can.

Earlier today, Garcon took to his Instagram account display yet another venture in giving back, and this time it was close to home.

Garçon posted a photo of his mother, Marie Nicolas, smiling next to a new car, as he reveals in his caption that he had purchased her both a new vehicle and home this week.

"Bought my mama a crib and a brand new wagon. Now she hit the grocery store looking lavish," he captioned.

It is no secret the love and appreciation Garçon has for his family as he frequently posts photos of them on his Instagram account. In a recent picture of Garçon sitting with Nicolas, he captioned, "My mom gave me the game #YouAreAppreciated."

This past October, Garçon visited  Haiti  after its devastating hurricane to bring medical supplies and bottled water, manifesting his dedication towards his family's homeland.

Garçon's overall charitable efforts have not gone unnoticed. Last month the Washington Redskins commemorated Garçon by nominating him as the team's 2016 Walter Payton Man of the Year. This qualifies Garçon as one of 32 candidates to receive the league-wide award that is given annually by the NFL to recognize a player's community service and volunteer efforts as well as his excellence on the field.

Garçon isn't the only Redskin giving back to his roots this offseason. In a similar fashion, Safety Sua' Cravens posted a photo on his Instagram depicting that he had purchased a vehicle for each of his parents, Kevin and Yolanda Cravens.

Merry Christmas Mom and Dad ! You deserves everything and more  I love you pic.twitter.com/p44Hod3ufo — Suzy (@Sua_Cravens) December 25, 2016

In all, it is great to see Redskins giving back on and off the field.
