The awards keep coming for Clinton Portis.

On Friday, Portis won the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week award for his performance against the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday.

Fans voted Portis the winner in an online contest on NFL.com. Portis beat out Miami's Ronnie Brown and Carolina's DeAngelo Williams for the award.

Portis was also named NFC Offensive Player of the Week by the league on Wednesday.

Portis had 29 carries for for 145 yards--a 5.0 yards per carry average--and a touchdown in leading the Redskins to a 23-17 win over the Eages on Sunday. He also caught two passes for 13 yards in the game.

It was Portis's second 100-yard effort of the season, and it came against an Eagles run defense that was ranked sixth overall and first against the run entering the game.

Portis reeled off several long runs in the second half--including 21- and 27-yard pickups--as the Redskins' offensive line wore down the Eagles defense.

Two plays after Portis's 27-yarde run, the Redskins faced a 3rd-and-goal at the 4-yard line. Jason Campbell faked a throw and instead handed off to Portis on a draw play.

Portis darted through a gaping hole to the left and raced untouched into the end zone for a 4-yard touchdown run. The score gave the Redskins a 23-14 lead in the fourth quarter.

Along with Portis's award, FedEx makes a $1,000 donation in the winning players' names to the local Safe Kids USA coalitions in Washington D.C. to support pedestrian safety efforts. Safe Kids USA is a national non-profit organization that works to prevent accidental injury among children.

This season, FedEx plans to surpass the $1 million mark in terms of charity donations they have made to deliver safe kids through the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Player of the Week Awards program.
