A new addition to FedExField was revealed to honor servicemen prior to Monday's matchup with the Steelers.

Redskins Salute  and Rolling Thunder will unveil the "Prisoners of War"/ "Missing in Action" (POW-MIA) chair during the second quarter of the season opener. The chair will remain in the stadium permanently in section 342 and remain empty as a reminder that while many soldiers cannot be present at the game, there is still a place for them.

More than three hundred chairs have been already been placed in sports venues and other public places throughout the country.

Putting a POW-MIA chair in FedExField specifically is also a way for the Redskins community to honor the "still missing" 91,000-plus American servicemen in a permanent and meaningful way.
