On Saturday, July 28, Redskins Salute and GEICO Military hosted 150 active duty, veterans and their family members for the annual Military Appreciation Day at training camp.
Guests received VIP passes which offered a great view of practice. In addition to their prime viewing area, guests were able to beat the heat with complimentary breakfast and lunch. The day wrapped up with a special autograph session and raffle for Redskins autographed merchandise and tickets to the preseason game against the Denver Broncos.
Once the afternoon walkthrough concluded, Staff Sergeant Richard Crites re-enlisted into the Air Force on the practice field. Along with him were his wife and three children, who came up to Richmond from Florida. Richard and Stephanie were high school sweethearts who actually shared their first kiss at a Redskins game! We thank Staff Sergeant Crites and his family for sharing their special day with us.
