*As the Washington Redskins get closer to the start of another season, Redskins.com will preview all 16 of the team's regular season games, continuing with today's look against the Baltimore Ravens. *

While the Redskins and Ravens have become frequent preseason opponents over the years, Week 5's matchup at M&T Bank Stadium will mark only the sixth time these two teams have squared off in regular season action since the latter franchise moved from Cleveland. *Baltimore in 2015 suffered its worst season since 2007, as the Ravens finished with a 5-11 record just one season after making the playoffs with a 10-6 record.*

The Redskins' shortest travel for an away game this season will come on Oct. 9, as they go just up the road from FedExField to take on the Ravens in Baltimore.

The Ravens struggled through a season marred by injury and poor defensive play, particularly against the pass, in 2015.

Among those that ended the season on Injured Reserve was quarterback Joe Flacco, who suffered a torn ACL and MCL in a Week 11 game against the then-St. Louis Rams.

Missing the final six regular season games, the injury snapped Flacco's consecutive starts streak at 122.

Flacco is confident he'll be able to return healthy by training camp and re-take his role as the offense's catalyst.

At running back, the Ravens will also return veteran Justin Forsett who missed the final six regular season games with a broken arm.

In the team's 80th Anniversary season, the Redskins are celebrating YOU, the fans. Here's a look at the best fan shots from the Redskins-Ravens game.

After bouncing between four teams through his first six NFL seasons, Forsett has found a home in Baltimore, as he rushed for more than 1,900 yards and 10 touchdowns in 26 appearances for the Ravens.

Running backs Javorius Allen, rookie Kenneth Dixon, Lorenzo Taliaferro and Terrance West are also on the roster as well as former first-round pick Trent Richardson, who is trying to revive his career after being out of the NFL in 2015.

Wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. is expected to play a large role once again – even at 37 years old -- as he also returns from a season-ending injury.

Smith Sr. hasn't missed a beat since joining Baltimore in 2014, as he's totaled more than 1,700 receiving yards and nine touchdowns over the last two seasons.

Kamar Aiken – an undrafted free agent who entered the league in 2011 – is expected, for now, to be opposite of Smith Sr. while Breshad Perriman still deals with lingering effects from injuries that have highlighted his NFL career to date.

Baltimore used the No. 6-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft on Notre Dame tackle Ronnie Stanley, who was the first offensive lineman off the board. He joins an offensive line that is headlined by five-time Pro Bowler Marshal Yanda.

After the selection of Stanley, the Ravens used their next three draft picks on the defensive side of the football with Boise State linebacker Kamalei Correa, BYU defensive end Bronson Kaufusi and Temple cornerback Tavon Young.

The trio joins two-time First-Team All-Pro safety Eric Weddle on what the Ravens hope is an improved defense that also includes linebackers C.J. Mosley, Elvis Dumervil and Terrell Suggs, who is also returning from a season-ending injury.

The Ravens allowed 30 passing touchdowns and intercepted a league worst six passes last season.
