Redskins Acquire 2017 Sixth-Round Pick From Texans

The Washington Redskins struck a deal with the Houston Texans Thursday, swapping 2015 first-round picks while the Redskins acquired an additional 2017 draft pick.

The Washington Redskins on Thursday evening selected in the early 20's of the 2016 NFL Draft as expected, however, they traded first-round picks with the Houston Texans, sending the No. 21 pick to Houston in exchange for the No. 22 pick.

The Redskins also obtained a 2017 sixth-round pick from the Texans.

Houston would select Notre Dame wide receiver Will Fuller with the 21st-overall pick, while Washington picked TCU wide receiver Josh Doctson.

Doctson appeared in 36 career games at TCU from 2013-15, setting school records in receiving yards (2,785) and receiving touchdowns (29) while ranking second in TCU history with 180 career receptions.

With the first day of the 2016 NFL Draft now over the page turns to Day 2, where the second and third rounds will commence Friday night.

-- No. 84 (third round)

-- No. 120 (fourth round)

-- No. 158 (fifth round)

-- No. 187 (sixth round; acquired in a trade with the New Orleans Saints in 2015)

-- No. 242 (seventh round)* *
