The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed free agent defensive lineman DaJohn Harris (pronounced "Day-john") to the team's practice squad.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Harris fills a spot vacated on the practice squad by Chase Minnifield's promotion last Friday.

Harris (6-3, 306) originally signed with the Tennessee Titans as a college free agent on April 30, 2012.

He was one of two undrafted rookies to make the Titans' initial active roster last season, registering five tackles in seven games.

He spent the offseason with Tennessee before being waived on Aug. 30, 2013.

Harris, 24, played collegiately at the University of Southern California, where he played in 39 games with 22 starts and amassed 72 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, seven passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and one interception from 2008-11.

Harris attended Serra H.S. in Gardena, Calif., where he earned Super Prep All-American honors after totaling 64 tackles and nine sacks as a defensive lineman plus 19 receptions for 304 yards and four touchdowns as a tight end in 2006. He was born on Jan. 24, 1989.
