In other moves, Washington Redskins announced they signed free agent kicker Jake Rogers.
In addition, team announced they released center Will Montgomery. Though not confirmed by the team, NFL transaction log notes that he failed his physical.
This continues the shakeup of the Redskins interior offensive line, combined with the addition of Shawn Lauvao on Wednesday.
As it currently stands, left guard Kory Lichtensteiger is in line to shift to center, freeing up left guard for Lauvao. The team may make additional moves later in free agency or add through the draft.
Third-year interior lineman Josh LeRibeus also has experience at the center position.
