Redskins Announce 2015 Draft Festivities

Washington Redskins fans are invited to attend the Redskins' annual Draft Day Party presented by Geico at FedExField on Saturday, May 2, where the team's first round pick will be in attendance. Fans are also welcome to enter and cheer on those participating in the inaugural Redskins' Draft Day Dash 5K.

Admission and parking for the Draft Day Party is free for all fans. Parking lots open at 10 a.m. and fans will be admitted through the Comcast SportsNet Gate (Gate H) at 11 a.m. For more details on the Draft Day Party and to register for the event, visit www.Redskins.com/DraftDay.

The Draft Day Dash 5K will take place at 11:30 a.m. at FedExField, where the course will lead participants around and through the stadium, finishing at the 50-yard-line. Fans interested in participating can sign up at www.redskins.com/5K. All participants will receive an official Draft Day Dash t-shirt, a commemorative pin and more. Kids can participate in Redskins PLAY 60 Fun Run heats throughout the afternoon.

WOW, the Redskins' official women's fan club and Redskins Salute will host sweepstakes for their members to win the chance to announce the team's Day 3 draft choices live from FedExField with the Draft Day Dash 5K winner.

All fans can watch the NFL Draft on the high definition video boards, as well as tour the Redskins locker room, test their passing and kicking skills, dress like a Redskins player, climb the rock wall, take pictures with the Super Bowl trophies and win exclusive prizes throughout the day through various raffles. A group of current and former Redskins players will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures with fans, schedules permitting.

The Draft Day Party will also feature USA Football "heads up football" tutorials, as well as interactive panels on smaller field stages as part of activities.

Fans can stay informed with up to the minute Redskins Draft updates by downloading the Redskins official mobile app at www.redskins.com/fan-zone/mobile-app.html. The app can also be used to participate in our Redskins Draft Day Party scavenger hunt at FedExField for a chance to win prizes.

Media interested in attending the Draft Day Party must contact Alexia Grevious of Redskins Public Relations at greviousa@redskins.com or 703-726-7077 to request a credential no later than Friday, May 1 at 5 p.m. Media should enter FedExField through the South Field Tunnel on the day of the event to obtain a credential.

Proceeds from the Draft Day Dash 5K will benefit the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, whose mission is to make a positive impact on youth development in the greater Washington D.C. area.

Fans can also sign up for the Redskins $1 Million Mock Draft Challenge now through April 30 at 5 p.m. ET at www.Redskins.com/MockDraft. If a fan correctly picks all 32 selections in the first round of this year's draft, they could win $1,000,000! Additional prizes include 2015 Premium Season Tickets and Redskins autographed jerseys.
