On Tuesday, November 12th, the Redskins continued to celebrate Salute to Service month by hosting three of their podcasts at the USO Center at Fort Belvoir. Riggo the Diesel, 26 Minutes with CP, and Cooley at the Park all taped their podcasts with a live audience of active duty service members. This is the 2nd consecutive year that the Redskins have held their podcasts at the USO Warrior and Family Center.
Cole Holcomb and Shaun Dion Hamilton wanted to show their appreciation for the service members by joining John Riggins and Clinton Portis for their podcasts. Hamilton's father recently retired from the military after 33 years of service and Holcomb's father served in the Navy for a couple of years. They discussed the Redskins season thus far, their families' military background, and what to look forward to with Dwayne Haskins named the starter for the rest of the season. After the podcasts concluded, Cole and Shaun helped serve out Mission BBQ to over 150 military members. They were then able to take pictures, sign autographs, and chat with service members as they took a break from their day.
Additionally, there were three raffle prizes handed out that included a signed football, signed Redskins helmet, and a signed Morgan Moses jersey. Throughout the day, there were giveaway items handed out to all service members in attendance such as lanyards and wristbands.
