On Tuesday, the team returned to Redskins Park for the first time since minicamp and took advantage of the newly-renovated and expanded weight room, training room and kitchen.

Construction began in the spring but went into full-gear when the team traveled south to Richmond for training camp. Construction is now complete and the facility is once again fully-operational.

Redskins general manager Bruce Allen toured the facility with Redskins owner Daniel M. Snyder and head coach Mike Shanahan on Friday evening to get a first look at the progress.

Allen credited the ownership for their commitment to making "constant upgrades" to the team's three facilities.

"The inspiration behind the renovations was [Redskins owner] Dan Snyder's commitment to giving this team the very best," Allen told Redskins.com.

Since 2010, the Redskins have also made the following improvements to their three facilities:

--Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center constructed in Richmond, Va.

--Redskins Park upgrades:

  • Regulation-size indoor practice field and facility
  • "Hail To The Redskins Walk" outside the locker room

--FedExField upgrades:

  • NRG solar power installation
  • HD video and scoreboards
